Cyber Security Advisor
Joel joined Bruce & Butler’s Cyber Security team fresh out of university and has quickly made an impact by helping clients build stronger, smarter cyber security practices.
As a Cyber Security Advisor, Joel works closely with organisations across sectors, learning how they operate and tailoring information security controls to fit their needs. He’s particularly passionate about exploring how different security systems are integrated into clients’ day-to-day operations and enjoys identifying opportunities for further strengthening their defences.
The incredibly warm and welcoming team environment has stood out to him since joining Bruce & Butler. From day one, no question ever felt silly to ask, the open and collaborative culture continues to help him learn quickly and allows them to bounce ideas off one another, making his role more enjoyable.
Outside of work, Joel keeps active, he balances regular gym sessions and weekly bouldering with friends. He’s also been rekindling his musical passion by picking up the guitar again in his downtime.
Lately, he’s been diving into music from Arctic Monkeys and Tyler, The Creator (after seeing him live earlier this year). Music and TV are key parts of his downtime, and he’s always on the hunt for his next great listen or binge-worthy show.
